Cold War Utilities

Understand the 14 documented Cold War [APC] utility entries, from grenades and binoculars to bandages, ammo crates, and radios.

Current records list 14 Cold War [APC] utility entries: M67, L2A2, M33A1, RGD-5, RGO, M18, RDG-2, B8x30 Binoculars, M750r Binoculars, Designating Binoculars, American Bandage, Soviet Bandage, Ammo Crate, and Radio. These labels cover fragmentation, smoke, observation, recovery, resupply, and communication functions.

The list is a documented snapshot. Exact quantities, blast behavior, fuse timing, smoke duration, healing rules, resupply limits, radio actions, and class assignment must be confirmed in the current client.

Utility index by purpose

Fragmentation

M67, L2A2, M33A1, RGD-5, RGO

Use only after identifying the occupied area and checking friendly positions. Names alone do not establish current blast, fuse, or throw values.

Concealment

M18 and RDG-2

Place smoke to block the enemy's view of movement. Avoid blinding the friendly support position that needs to cover the crossing.

Observation

B8x30 and M750r Binoculars

Scan a relevant lane from cover, make concise calls, and move when the objective changes.

Special observation

Designating Binoculars

The name suggests a distinct function, but its current designation mechanics should be learned from live prompts rather than assumed.

Sustainment

Bandages and Ammo Crate

Recover or resupply where cover and team access make the item useful. Verify limits, timing, and eligible resources live.

Coordination

Radio

Read the current interface and use clear, short information. Public sources confirm the item name but not every present action.

Throw fragmentation with a complete plan

Before preparing a fragmentation grenade, identify the enemy position, friendly positions, likely bounce surfaces, and cover you will use during the throw. Do not throw into an area simply because gunfire came from that direction. A teammate may already be advancing into it.

Use the current on-screen controls and feedback to learn timing. This guide does not assign real-world characteristics or unverified game values to the M67, L2A2, M33A1, RGD-5, or RGO. Even familiar names can be implemented differently in a Roblox experience.

After the explosion, act on the opening. A grenade without movement or observation may only warn the defender. Communicate the throw, wait for the safe moment, then clear the route with teammates.

Put smoke between the enemy and movement

Smoke works best when it breaks the opponent’s line of sight rather than covering the friendly team in confusion. If you are crossing a road, place the screen toward the observed enemy angle. If you are leaving a vehicle, create separation between the dismount area and the threat.

Do not assume a cloud makes you invisible. Enemies can fire at known doorways, listen for movement, or approach the smoke. Change speed and route, and have another player watch the edge. Avoid placing smoke directly on a friendly machine gunner or marksman whose view is protecting the advance.

The M18 and RDG-2 are documented smoke entries. Color, duration, carried count, and availability are version-dependent. Check the selected class before building a plan around them.

Observe without becoming isolated

Binoculars help identify movement while preserving weapon ammunition and offering a clearer view than unaided scanning. Use them briefly from behind cover, then lower them before moving. Tunnel vision is dangerous: a player focused on one distant road may miss a nearby flank or the objective changing behind them.

Make calls that contain direction, landmark, count, movement, and vehicle type when known. “Two infantry moving left of the red building” is more useful than “over there.” If the game exposes a compass or map coordinate, use only the information you can see accurately.

Designating Binoculars are listed separately, indicating that they may offer a distinct interaction. Because dependable current public instructions are incomplete, follow the live prompt and team UI. Do not promise a strike, marker, or cooldown that the current build does not show.

Use bandages from real cover

American Bandage and Soviet Bandage are both documented items. Their separate names identify faction equipment; they do not establish a balance difference. The present client determines who carries them, how they activate, what they restore, how long they take, and whether movement interrupts use.

Move out of the firing lane before attempting recovery. A doorway, thin visual obstruction, or active capture circle is not automatically safe. Tell nearby teammates you are temporarily unable to cover the angle. After recovery, reload and reassess rather than stepping back into the same pre-aimed line.

If a current class has no bandage, do not assume the item is bugged. Class assignment can differ, and availability may be part of the loadout tradeoff.

Place an ammo crate where the team can survive

An Ammo Crate has value when players can reach it without clustering in an exposed spot. Put it behind hard cover near a defensible route, not in the center of a doorway or directly beside a vehicle likely to draw fire. Let teammates know where it is.

Verify which ammunition or utility types the current crate restores and whether it has a limit or cooldown. Do not spend scarce equipment merely to test it under fire. If the team is about to leave the sector, save the crate for the next useful position when the game permits.

Resupply should support a plan: restore a machine gun holding an approach, replace anti-vehicle capacity near an armor route, or sustain infantry defending an active objective.

Make radio messages actionable

Public directories confirm the Radio item and Radio Operator role, but not a complete authoritative current mechanic sheet. Start by reading the key prompts and interface. Use the item only after understanding what the action will do and whether teammates need warning.

For voice or text communication, keep messages short: threat, direction, landmark, and intent. Avoid filling the channel with frustration or repeated information. A calm warning about a vehicle route or objective change can matter more than a long description.

Pair utilities with the role that can deliver them. The Loadouts guide provides a pre-spawn check, while Roles explains which battlefield job each class family is intended to fill.

Evidence status

All 14 item names above come from a current structured utility directory checked on September 30, 2026. Their broad categories are supported by the labels, while exact mechanics, statistics, quantities, controls, restrictions, and class assignments require current in-game verification.
