A Cold War [APC] class variant is a named implementation of a broader role. American Rifleman and Soviet Rifleman, for example, share a battlefield job but can carry different equipment. Current structured community records list about fifty variants across NATO, PACT, and special-force entries. This page is a navigation aid, not a permanent balance sheet.
The current client decides which variants appear for a faction, cost cash, require research, have a class limit, or belong to a Roblox gamepass. Confirm those fields at spawn before planning around any specific kit.
Read every class name in three parts
First
Faction or unit
American, British, West German, Soviet, East German, Polish, and special-force labels tell you where the variant belongs.
Second
Role family
Rifleman, Recon, Machine Gunner, Radio Operator, Marksman, Anti-Tank, or Crewman identifies the intended battlefield job.
Third
Displayed kit
The weapon, sidearm, grenade, and utility shown in the live menu determine how the variant actually performs today.
This reading order prevents two common errors: treating every variant of a role as identical, and assuming a prestigious unit label guarantees a stronger kit.
Representative NATO variants
Current records include American, British, and West German examples across the regular role families. Representative names include American Rifleman, American Recon, American Marksman, American Anti-Tank, American Crewman, American Radioman, British Rifleman, British SAW, and West German Rifleman. The directory also contains additional named entries beyond this short orientation list.
Use the live class card to compare practical details: primary weapon, available sight, magazine capacity, carried grenades, anti-vehicle equipment, and class restriction. A British support weapon and an American support weapon can occupy a similar team niche while demanding different recoil and reload habits.
Do not infer availability from the country name. A variant might be part of a map faction, research path, event, or pass. Spawn-menu labels and the Roblox purchase screen are stronger evidence than an old video.
Representative PACT variants
The PACT side has documented Soviet, East German, Polish, and related variants. Soviet Rifleman is one easily recognized example, but it should not be used as shorthand for the entire roster. Look for the same main jobs—general infantry, reconnaissance, automatic support, precision fire, anti-tank work, communications, and vehicle crew—expressed through different equipment.
When switching factions, relearn the kit instead of forcing NATO muscle memory onto it. Check the selector mode, sight picture, magazine behavior, grenade type, and utility. Spend the first engagement measuring recoil and effective range from cover. A familiar role gives you a responsibility, not identical controls.
Variant comparisons are most useful when they answer a real decision: which available kit can contest this range, support this vehicle, or handle this approach? They are less useful as an all-purpose tier list detached from the current map.
Special-force variants are product-specific
Five special-force products are currently documented: Spetsnaz-GRU, Delta Force, Navy SEALs, Spetsnaz VMF, and Spetsgruppa “A” / PSSE-B. Published descriptions identify examples such as a Delta Rifleman with a CAR-15 SF, a Spetsnaz-GRU kit featuring an AKS-74UB and BS-1 Tishina, Navy SEAL assault or grenadier variants, and Spetsnaz VMF assault or recon variants.
These examples help identify the products, but they are not a complete current stat comparison. Contents and prices may change, and one product may include more than one class. Open the correct experience’s Roblox store page, inspect the current description and price, and decide whether the included faction and role fit how you actually play.
See Special Forces for the product-by-product checklist. Never buy through an off-platform seller or assume ownership in a similarly named Roblox game carries over.
Build a role-first comparison
To compare variants fairly, select one role and record only fields visible in the current client. Start with availability and cost, then note the primary weapon category, sidearm, explosive, utility, and any clear restriction. Test both variants at the same kind of range and objective before judging them.
Avoid comparing a Machine Gunner against a Recon kit as though they compete for one job. One may trade mobility for lane pressure while the other values observation and precision. The team problem should determine which tradeoff matters.
If exact damage, penetration, armor interaction, or recoil numbers are not displayed or officially documented, describe the observed behavior and date rather than inventing a number. Updates can invalidate precise claims quickly.
Handle costs and research gates carefully
Recent Grip Studios announcements show that costs can change. One public update note referenced adjustments to Radioman and Crewman costs and weapon tuning. This establishes that older screenshots can become stale; it does not establish the price in your current server.
Before spending, verify the correct universe, faction, class name, unlock currency, prerequisite, and whether the unlock is permanent. Cash, CRP, research, and Robux are distinct concepts. The Research guide and CRP guide separate what is publicly known from what still needs an in-client check.
Use variants without unbalancing the squad
Once you know the kit, return to team composition. If several players already occupy limited long-range or support roles, a general infantry variant may create more value. If armor blocks the only route, a suitable Anti-Tank variant becomes urgent. If a crewed vehicle is ready, a Crewman variant has a clear purpose.
Class variety is useful only when jobs connect. Recon identifies movement, support fire fixes it, infantry advances, and anti-vehicle players protect the route. Pick the variant whose equipment lets you complete your part of that chain.
Evidence status
The seven role families and the representative names above are supported by a current structured community directory. Special-force names and many product descriptions are corroborated by current Roblox commerce listings. The live Cold War [APC] interface remains authoritative for the full roster, exact kit, limits, prices, research requirements, and balance.
