Cold War Research Guide

Approach Cold War [APC] research by verifying the live tree, prerequisites, currency, faction scope, and unlock effect before spending.

Cold War [APC] players currently discuss research as part of class and equipment progression, but the public evidence reviewed for this guide does not establish a complete authoritative research tree. That means the current in-game menu must answer the important questions: what is unlockable, which resource it costs, what prerequisite comes first, whether it is faction-specific, and what the purchase grants.

Do not copy a tree or price from an undated comment. Use a verification routine that remains useful when the progression system changes.

Research screen checklist

Identity

Exact unlock

Record the displayed class, weapon, vehicle, or capability name rather than shortening it to a role family.

Scope

Faction and category

Check whether the unlock applies to NATO, PACT, one variant, one platform, or a broader account system.

Path

Prerequisites

Follow visible arrows, levels, or prior nodes. Do not assume an expensive item can be purchased directly.

Cost

Currency and amount

Distinguish cash, CRP, research progress, and Robux. Similar-looking numbers can belong to different systems.

Result

Unlock effect

Read whether the purchase grants access, advances a node, enables a variant, or only satisfies one step.

Take a dated screenshot before spending if the interface is unclear. It is easier to resolve a discrepancy when the exact label and price are preserved.

Separate research from the other economies

Robux purchases belong to Roblox commerce and include documented special-force gamepasses. In-match or account cash may be used for class or vehicle access, and current creator announcements have referenced cash-like class price changes. CRP appears in current player discussion as a separate progression term. “Research” may describe the tree, progress, or action that connects some of these systems.

Because public comments conflict on details, do not merge these into one universal currency. Read the symbol and label beside the current cost. If a guide says “points” without naming the interface term, treat it as incomplete.

The CRP guide explains how to verify that label. The Gamepasses guide keeps Robux purchases separate.

Choose a goal from your battlefield role

Start with the role you already play effectively. If you spend most rounds as objective infantry, a general rifle or support path may produce more use than a vehicle unlock that lacks a crew. If your group consistently operates armor, a vehicle or Crewman-related path may matter more.

Ask how often the unlock can be used, what faction or map enables it, and whether a prerequisite would sit unused. A famous weapon or tank name is not enough. The unlock should solve a recurring battlefield problem or add a style you genuinely want to learn.

Avoid choosing solely from a “best item” video. Balance, cost, and availability can change, and a different role may not fit your team.

Build a short research plan

Pick one near-term unlock and one later goal. Trace the visible path between them. Record each current prerequisite and cost, then total only values shown by the live menu. If the route branches, compare the useful items along both paths rather than only the endpoint.

Play several matches before changing the plan. Notice which faction, class, and vehicle options you actually encounter. A practical unlock used every session can be better value than a prestigious item that depends on a rare seat or map.

Recheck the tree after an update. A moved prerequisite or altered cost can make the saved plan inefficient. Date every external note you rely on.

Earn progress through the objective

Public evidence does not provide a complete official formula for research or CRP earnings. The safe play advice is therefore also the useful match advice: participate in active objectives, remain with the team, perform the job of your selected role, and finish rounds. Do not use exploits, automation, alternate-account farming, or off-platform sellers.

Observe what the end-of-round screen explicitly awards and under which label. If the game shows separate rewards for victory, objectives, class actions, or time, record the displayed values and date. Do not infer a hidden multiplier from one match.

If progress appears missing, capture the before-and-after screen, server time, and relevant action before reporting it.

Verify an unlock after purchase

After confirming the name, path, cost, and effect, complete the purchase through the game interface. Then return to the appropriate class, vehicle, or equipment screen and verify the result. A research node may grant access while another menu still controls the spawn cost or class limit.

If it does not appear, check faction, prerequisites, server age, and whether rejoining is suggested by an official prompt. Do not give another player account credentials or pay anyone to “activate” it.

Keep the proof of purchase or unlocked node until the result is clear. Roblox support or an official Grip Studios channel is the appropriate escalation path for a persistent issue.

Handle updates and resets carefully

A live-service progression system can change. Before assuming a reset, inspect creator announcements and the current menu. Distinguish a visual delay, server-version mismatch, retuned cost, renamed node, or changed prerequisite from an actual loss.

Do not promise that an unlock is permanent unless the current interface or official product says so. Likewise, do not claim that an update will refund currency without direct official evidence.

The research guide remains intentionally procedural because the public record is not yet strong enough for a fixed complete tree. This avoids turning player speculation into a false fact.

Evidence status

Research and CRP are supported as current player-facing progression concepts, and creator announcements demonstrate that class costs can change. A complete official current tree, earning formula, prices, prerequisites, reset policy, and unlock effects were not established in the evidence reviewed here and require direct client or creator confirmation.
