The current structured Cold War [APC] directory records 53 weapon entries across rifles, carbines, submachine guns, machine guns, precision weapons, shotguns, launchers, pistols, and special equipment. That count is a dated catalog snapshot, not a claim that one player can select all 53 or that every server exposes them at once. Weapons are assigned through classes, faction variants, research, and some gamepasses.
Choose a weapon by the job it must perform in the current match. Exact damage, penetration, recoil, fire rate, ammunition, and unlock requirements are update-sensitive; verify the live kit rather than copying a stale numeric chart.
Weapon families and their jobs
General purpose
Rifles and carbines
Useful for objective infantry across mixed distances. Learn the sight picture, recoil rhythm, and magazine behavior of the faction variant you actually spawned with.
Close lanes
Submachine guns
Favor compact handling and shorter fights. Cross open ground with support rather than asking a close-range kit to dominate a long approach.
Sustained pressure
Machine guns
Control a route while teammates move. Use cover, plan reloads, and relocate before the enemy can pre-aim the firing position.
Long relevant lanes
Marksman and precision weapons
Observe routes connected to the objective. Precision is wasted if the position cannot affect captures or reinforcements.
Specialized threat
Launchers
Preserve anti-vehicle ammunition for a confirmed target and useful angle. Coordinate with infantry to avoid being flanked after firing.
Emergency tool
Pistols and secondary weapons
Know the draw and sight picture before a primary runs empty. A sidearm creates an option; it does not excuse an unsafe reload.
Learn the issued weapon before ranking it
At the first safe spawn, identify the fire selector, sight, visible ammunition, utility, and whether the weapon is meant for a supported or mobile role. Fire a short controlled sequence only where it will not harm teammates or reveal a critical position. Notice how quickly the sight returns and how movement affects your aim.
Then use the weapon at the range implied by the objective. A mixed-range rifle should move with the capture group. A machine gun needs a stable lane and a planned exit. A precision weapon needs observation over a route that matters. A launcher needs a vehicle problem and protection.
Avoid declaring a weapon weak after one poor engagement. Cover, stance, latency, range, target movement, and surprise all affect the result. Compare repeated situations under the same current build.
Rifles and carbines reward adaptable positioning
Rifle and carbine kits are the backbone of general infantry because objectives rarely stay at one exact distance. Move from cover to cover, pause before exposing a lane, and use controlled fire when the target is far enough that continuous recoil hides it. In close rooms, pre-plan the corner and keep enough distance from teammates to avoid blocking each other.
Faction variants can differ. The name Rifleman tells you the job, not an identical gun. Current creator announcements have referenced weapon balance changes, including adjustments to G3A3 and L1A1 values, which is a strong reason not to preserve old exact statistics as permanent facts. The spawn screen and present handling are more reliable.
If a carbine appears on a paid or special-force class, judge it against the route and role, not the product price. Robux does not change the need for cover or ammunition discipline.
Support weapons need a fire-and-move rhythm
Machine guns are most effective when the squad can use the time their fire creates. Pick a narrow set of likely enemy angles. Communicate that you are watching, fire from hard cover, then allow teammates to cross or enter. Long uncontrolled bursts can empty the weapon and make your position obvious without creating a better result.
Reload behind cover and tell nearby players when the lane is no longer protected. After a successful contact, shift to a nearby angle. The enemy will often return aiming at the last muzzle flash, window, or ridge.
Shotguns and compact automatic weapons solve a different problem: immediate close-range threats. Reach the close lane safely before expecting their advantages to matter. Smoke, transport, and teammates with longer-range coverage can make that possible.
Precision weapons serve the objective
A useful Marksman or Recon position watches a capture edge, crossing, reinforcement road, or firing point that blocks friendly movement. It also has cover and an exit. Extreme distance is not automatically safer if the route behind you is open or if the objective moves beyond view.
Fire selection matters more than volume. A target moving toward the objective, an exposed support gunner, or an anti-tank player preparing a shot can matter more than a distant player leaving the fight. Relocate after repeated shots, especially when tracers, sound, or impact direction can reveal you.
If weather, darkness, vegetation, or map geometry removes the sightline, change position or class. Do not wait for the battlefield to return to your scope.
Launchers require identification and patience
Before firing, confirm the target is hostile, the line is clear, and the shot is worth revealing your position. Avoid standing directly beside a group of teammates or taking an obstructed angle. Watch for enemy infantry around the vehicle; crews rarely operate in complete isolation.
After the shot, move to cover and report the result. If the current game models different armor faces or damage states, those details should be learned from live feedback and current official material, not assumed from another game. This guide does not publish unverified penetration figures.
When no vehicle threat is present, help the infantry fight without wasting the specialized ammunition. Switch on the next life if the map or mode no longer needs the role.
Track balance without chasing a permanent tier list
Use dated creator announcements, current menu descriptions, and repeated in-game observations together. Record the build date and exact class when sharing a test. A video or spreadsheet without a date, faction, and method is weak evidence for a live-service game.
Tier lists also flatten different jobs. A compact weapon can be excellent inside a building and poor across a valley. A machine gun can dominate a supported defense and struggle during a solitary sprint. Compare weapons only within a task you actually need.
Continue to Utilities for grenades, optics, bandages, ammo, and radio equipment, or Loadouts for a role-first spawn checklist.
Evidence status
The 53-entry catalog and weapon-family names are supported by a current structured community directory. Recent creator announcements corroborate that weapon values are actively tuned. Exact statistics, availability, ammunition, attachments, damage behavior, and class assignment remain live facts that require the current Cold War [APC] client.
