Vehicles are part of Cold War [APC]’s combined-arms identity, not a separate minigame. The official experience description confirms unique vehicles, and the September 2026 APC update added the M113A3 for NATO and MT-LB for PACT according to a creator-owned Grip Studios announcement. A current community directory documents ten named ground vehicles across transport, armed transport, APC, infantry fighting vehicle, and main battle tank roles.
Use a vehicle to solve a team problem: move infantry, protect a route, provide controlled supporting fire, or counter another vehicle. Exact research price, CRP requirement, spawn fee, armor, ammunition, seat count, and handling are update-sensitive. Check the live vehicle screen before purchasing or promising a seat to a squad.

Mounted Guns
Use an armed transport or mounted position to cover a meaningful lane, communicate traverse limits, and withdraw before infantry isolates the gunner.

Light transport begins with the NATO M151 and PACT UAZ-469 in current community records. Their useful job is movement: deliver players to a relevant area, reposition between objectives, or shorten the return from spawn. They should not be judged by whether they win a direct fight against armor.
Armed transports include the documented 1025 HUMVEE and UAZ-469 Technical. These add a gunner position to a mobile platform, which creates both value and risk. The driver must place the gun where it can work without exposing the whole vehicle to every enemy angle. The gunner must watch for nearby infantry while using the longer sightline.
The M113A3 and MT-LB are the current named APC pair. Their identity is infantry transport with mounted fire support. Community reference pages list historical observed costs and capacities, but the September update changed the live progression conversation. This hub does not present those historical numbers as current. Use the APC guide for a purchase and operation checklist.
Current directories also list the M2 Bradley and BMP-2 as infantry fighting vehicles, plus the M60A3 and T-64A as main battle tanks. Their presence in a reference record does not confirm availability in every mode, map, or current public server. Verify the live spawn list, prerequisite, crew requirement, and cost.
Run an infantry-first vehicle loop
Before spawning a vehicle, identify the objective and the safe route from the vehicle area. A driver who does not know the destination can waste the crew’s time or expose the platform on the first corner. Agree on a simple plan: transport, fire support, or vehicle hunting. Do not ask one vehicle to perform every job at once.
Load passengers where they can board without standing in a busy firing lane. Move along a route with space to turn and at least one fallback. Stop short of the objective so infantry can spread out under cover. Driving directly onto a crowded capture point may trap passengers, block friendly sightlines, and make the vehicle an easy focus target.
After the dismount, decide whether to support from range, make another transport run, or withdraw for repairs or resupply if those systems are available. Community discussion reports passenger transport as a possible way to earn money or CRP, but the exact reward rules and timing are not official in the checked public sources. Treat the live reward UI as the authority.
Coordinate driver, gunner, and passengers
The driver owns positioning and survival. Call turns, stops, reverses, and dismounts early enough for the gunner and passengers to react. Avoid parking where a single obstacle prevents backing out. Keep the vehicle angled toward an escape route whenever the terrain allows.
The gunner owns the visible threat. Scan infantry close to the vehicle before chasing a distant target. Communicate when the weapon cannot traverse to an angle or when cover blocks the shot. Do not fire continuously just because ammunition is available; sustained fire reveals the vehicle and can distract from a nearer anti-vehicle threat.
Passengers should dismount as a group near cover, then protect the vehicle from close infantry while moving toward the objective. Remaining inside indefinitely concentrates too many players in one target. The exact number of seats is still a live-verification field, even though older reference entries publish crew and passenger counts.
Respond to enemy vehicles
If you are infantry, identify the platform before choosing a response. A light transport, armed truck, APC, IFV, and tank present different risks. Mark or communicate the direction, move away from the most obvious firing lane, and let an appropriate anti-vehicle role reach a supported angle.
Do not crowd the same corner with every launcher. Separate angles force the vehicle crew to choose where to face and reduce the chance that one burst removes the whole response. Preserve specialized ammunition until the target and shot are clear. Exact armor, penetration, hit zones, and ammunition behavior require current in-game testing and are not inferred here from real-world vehicles.
When operating your own vehicle, respect infantry threats. Buildings, terrain folds, and destructible cover can hide a close approach. A gunner focused only on a distant target leaves the sides and rear unobserved. Move with friendly infantry whenever possible.
Decide whether to research or spawn
The current APC purchase discussion mentions cash, CRP, a possible Crewman prerequisite, and a separate spawn fee, but community replies conflict on how those requirements combine. Open the current research panel and record every displayed requirement before confirming. The research guide and CRP guide explain how to keep those currencies separate.
Before each spawn, ask whether the vehicle fits the map and active mode, whether teammates will crew it, and whether the team needs transport or direct fire more urgently. A costly platform abandoned at spawn gives less value than a basic transport used repeatedly with a clear plan.
Common vehicle failures
Solo operation is the first trap. Switching seats may leave the platform stationary and exposed, while a dedicated driver and gunner can observe different problems. The second trap is overextending beyond friendly infantry. Armor attracts attention and may not survive a coordinated close attack. The third is treating passengers as cargo rather than the reason an APC exists.
Another mistake is repeating a failed route. If one road is covered, use terrain, delay the push, or coordinate with infantry rather than donating another vehicle to the same angle. Finally, do not quote old costs or seats as current facts. The creator is actively updating vehicles and balance.
Evidence status
The official description verifies vehicles as a core feature. A September 2026 creator announcement verifies the M113A3 and MT-LB additions. The ten-name roster and broad types are community reported from a current structured directory. Live costs, CRP, seats, armor, weapons, ammunition, spawn rules, and balance still require the current client.
