Cold War [APC] publicly identifies the M113A3 as the NATO armored personnel carrier and the MT-LB as the PACT armored personnel carrier. Both should begin with the same mission question: how can this vehicle move infantry to a useful position and keep supporting them without becoming a stationary target?
Official and current public evidence confirms the platform identities, but not a dependable complete sheet for seats, armor, weapons, cost, or damage. Read the live spawn panel and vehicle prompts for those details.
The APC mission cycle
1 · Form
Assign the crew
Identify driver, gunner if available, passengers, destination, and a simple abort signal before leaving cover.
2 · Move
Choose a survivable route
Use terrain and friendly control. The shortest road is not automatically the safest approach.
3 · Dismount
Stop before the kill zone
Use hard cover, face the vehicle for a clean departure, and let passengers spread immediately.
4 · Support
Change position
Cover the infantry from a separate survivable angle instead of parking beside the squad.
5 · Recover
Withdraw before entrapment
Preserve a reverse or turning route and tell infantry when support is leaving.
Prepare the M113A3 or MT-LB
Confirm the faction and exact platform in the vehicle menu. Check the current cost or research gate, required class, visible seats, weapon prompts, and control hints. Do not use a historical guide’s values if the client differs.
The driver should set a destination and alternate route. A gunner should understand the current traverse and visibility. Passengers should know whether they are dismounting left, right, or behind cover. Keep voice or text instructions short enough to act on while moving.
If there is no infantry plan, wait rather than taking an armored transport on a solo sightseeing route. A full team may need the vehicle for the next objective.
Plan the route from the dismount backward
Pick the dismount first. Look for hard cover, more than one infantry exit, and a short path to the objective that is not directly observed. Then choose a driving route that reaches it without passing through every obvious anti-vehicle lane.
Use terrain folds, buildings, and friendly positions. Slow before blind intersections and avoid cresting into an unknown skyline. A spotter or passenger can scan the route, but the driver remains responsible for not outrunning information.
If the planned area is already under heavy fire, switch to the alternate rather than forcing the same entrance. Arriving slightly farther away with the squad intact is better than delivering everyone into one prepared angle.
Dismount without creating one large target
Announce the stop before it happens. Park so the protected side faces the likely threat when the current terrain allows. Passengers should exit, clear the doors or hatches, and spread to separate cover. Do not stand beside the vehicle deciding where to go.
The driver should move away from the infantry cluster once everyone is out. If a mounted gun is available, support from an angle that does not draw return fire directly through the squad. Avoid blocking a doorway, narrow road, or friendly retreat path.
If the vehicle takes damage during the stop, use the agreed abort signal. The exact current repair and damage-state mechanics require live verification; do not wait for an assumed threshold that the game does not display.
Support the objective without parking on it
An APC can watch a reinforcement route, cover a crossing, or provide a protected movement option. It does not need to occupy the same small capture area as infantry. Parking on the point may expose the vehicle from several sides and create an obstacle for teammates.
Use short appearances from cover. Scan for anti-vehicle threats and dismounted infantry. Change position after firing or after the enemy clearly identifies the platform. The vehicle should support the active objective, not chase one target into territory without friendly coverage.
If infantry advances beyond your sight, coordinate a new support position rather than following blindly. Keep enough space to turn or reverse.
Crew communication decides survival
The driver calls movement, route changes, and retreat. The gunner calls contacts, weapon state, and blind areas. Passengers report threats the crew cannot see and avoid giving several contradictory directions at once.
Use landmarks instead of vague calls. “Anti-tank player, left of the white house” gives the driver and gunner a shared picture. “Go there” does not. When damaged or stuck, state the intended recovery action so passengers can decide whether to dismount.
Crewman is a documented role, but the present game decides which seat or platform requires it. Verify before spawning. If the crew lacks enough players for safe operation, use a lighter transport or wait for support.
Fight APCs as infantry
When facing an M113A3 or MT-LB, identify it before exposing specialized weapons. Track its route, mounted coverage, nearby infantry, and likely retreat. Report the vehicle with a direction and landmark. Anti-Tank players need space and protection to prepare a useful shot.
Do not crowd behind the launcher user or reveal the ambush with ineffective fire. Regular infantry should watch for dismounts and protect the flank. This guide intentionally does not claim exact weak points or penetration numbers because current authoritative evidence is insufficient.
If the APC withdraws, decide whether pursuing would abandon the objective. Removing it from the useful support angle may already achieve the immediate goal.
Verify after an update
On the first round after a patch, check vehicle name, availability, cost, seat prompts, gun behavior, ammunition display, damage feedback, and any repair interaction. Record the date if you share findings. Compare like with like: M113A3 and MT-LB can fill a similar transport role without having identical implementation.

Evidence status
Creator event material and current structured records corroborate the M113A3 and MT-LB identities. The tactical cycle above is role-based guidance. Exact seats, controls, weapons, armor, damage, price, research, repairs, and class restrictions must be verified in the current Cold War [APC] server.
